Top Ten Tuesday/Wednesday - Billboard Hot 100 Review: March 21, 2020

Hey guys! Sorry for the late edition of Top Ten Tuesday. You can appreciate things have been pretty hectic, I'm sure. But in this particular instance, the show must go on!

Lots of movement again this week as Lil Uzi Vert smashes through with his new album bomb and scores three Top 10 hits. This pushes "Dance Monkey", "Memories", and "Stupid Love" off the Top 10, though the latter I'd argue didn't really need the help as it crashes down to #30. Inexplicably, that Justin Bieber nothing of a song remains in the Top 10 despite all this. I don't normally advocate for more Lil Uzi Vert in the Top 10, but in this case it might be an upgrade.

More exciting are some of the gains made this week, with "Don't Start Now" climbing to #2 and "Blinding Lights" right behind at #4. "The Box" holds at #1, though we'll see for how much longer. On that note...

Predictions:

As far as I can tell, it's a three-horse race between "Blinding Lights", "Don't Start Now", and "The Box" for that #1 spot. I'll put my bet on "Blinding Lights"; it's got streaming momentum and it's very radio-friendly. I cannot believe that those Lil Uzi Vert songs will survive another week in the Top 10, prompting a return for "Dance Monkey", "Memories" (sigh) and... "Someone You Loved"? God, let's hope not.
