Weekend Wrap-Up (Jun. 8-14 2014): Kim, Iggy, and Outkast

It's Weekend Wrap-Up time! What have we got today?

Cali Swag District member Jayare died last week. He was only 25 years old. Regardless of what you think of Cali Swag district, 25 is still far, far too young an age to go. RIP, and my condolences to his family and Cali Swag district.

Lil' Kim is a new mom! Her new baby daughter's name is Royal Reign, entering this world last week at 9:58 AM, weighing 6 pounds, 5 ounces. The father is rumoured to be a gentleman named Mr. Papers.

Iggy Azalea and Paramore have scored their first-ever pop radio #1s recently; Iggy with "Fancy" and Paramore with "Ain't It Fun". Ain't it fun to have a chart-topping hit?

Two people have been charged with burglarizing Miley Cyrus's home, as well as car theft. 1-year-old Tylor Scott and 21-year-old Naomi Charles pled not guilty to the charges, and are due back in court June 18th.

The opening ceremony of FIFA has gone underway, with Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez performing the official song, "We Are One". You can see the video here.

Outkast has announced a homecoming show in Atlanta, happening September 27 at the Centennial Olympic Park. Tickets will go on sale June 18th, at 10AM EST.

Finally, IU, a K-Pop solo act who has risen to superstardom in the genre, will be joining Girls' Generation, CNBLUE, and more in America's largest K-Pop Convention, KCON, held in Los Angeles. IU is the K-Pop Hot 100's all-time chart leader, so this should be very exciting for fans.

That's all for today! Seeya tomorrow with another song.
